Video Email Marketing

This article is a help guide to prepare all the various components needed for video email marketing.

Creating the Components You need to Send a Video Email Campaign.
A Video Email Campaign is made up of the following 5 components
To send “Campaigns” you must FIRST complete these five steps.

Step 1 – Video – the video you have selected to send.

Step 2 – Video Landing Page – this is where your video ad is streamed.

Step 3 – Email – HTML or text email template.

Step 4 – List – define recipients for the video campaign message.

Step 5 – Email Account – the “FROM” email address/domain in the video email campaign.

Step 1 – The “Wrapped Video”

The wrapped video is a video that is ready to use in a video email campaign. It consists of 3 sections, (1)Introduction message, (2)Video Ad and (3)Closing message, wrapped up in our unique video player.

1st Action- Add a Video to Your Personal Video Library.
To add a video, click on “Video” icon, then click on “Add Video” icon. Your choices include using our 1000′s Free Video Templates, a Premium Video, Have us “Create” a video from scratch, Upload your own video or use a video linked from YouTube/Vimeo. – follow the instructions.

No limit on amount you can upload/select from free library. Only cost is if you want to have clip customized or select a Premium video. These videos are your core video ads. Once uploaded/selected, they can be viewed in the “Video” section under “Manage Videos” icon.

2nd Action – Complete your Video so its campaign ready
So now you have a list of videos in your personal video library. Access your video via “Video” icon. Click “Manage Videos” icon to review your video list.

To COMPLETE your video for use in a video email campaign, click on “Wrap A Video” icon.This is where you insert messaging on the Introduction and Closing frames. Tip: To automatically PERSONALIZE the names of the viewers in the Introduction/Closing frames, when uploading your emailing list, make sure the name fields are included.

Once completed, click the “Save” icon, your “Wrapped Video” is now completed and ready to use in a video email camapign.

Step 2 – The “Video Landing Page”

Your video landing page is like the display window in a department store. It is a critical component for your video email campaign. Your video landing page is where your video ad is streamed, you select from free or premium land page templates and then customize/brand with text and graphics that highlights your business brand, products or services. You also include clickable url’s here.

1st Action- Select a Landing Page Template.
To add a video landing page template, select from free (included in your subscription ) or premium (pay a small upgrade), Browse and select your landing page, add to your landing page library where you will insert your message. Paid subscribers can choose to change the layout,design and color of the video landing page template. All subscribers can add logo, text and message to the landing page.

Click – Add this Page to your library

Once selected, they can be viewed in the “Landing Pages” section by clicking the “Manage Pages” icon.

2nd Action – Complete your Landing Page so its campaign ready.
So now you have a list of landing pages in your personal “Landing Page Library”. Access via “Landing Page” icon. Click “Manage Pages” icon to review your landing page list. To COMPLETE your “Landing Page” to use in a video email campaign, click on “Wrap A Page” icon. This is where you upload an image/logo, insert messaging, branding and web url around your video. You have 3 Blocks of text space.You can click “Preview” at any stage.

Once completed, click the “Save” icon, your “landing page is now wrapped and ready to use in a video email campaign.

Step 3 – The “Email Template”

The email template is the mail you send to someone to invite them to view your video. You can choose to send an HTML email template or a plain text email.

The HTML email template includes a click-able image of your video ad , your viewer simply clicks the image and your video ads starts streaming via your video landing page. To the viewer this is a quick, seamless process.Each HTML template comes in PC and mobile device (iPad,iPhone) formats.The plain text email template is your message in plain text with a clickable link, your viewer simply clicks the link and your video ads starts streaming via your video landing page. To the viewer this is a seamless process.

1st Action- Select an Email Template

So now you have a list of landing pages in your personal “Landing Page Library”. Access via “Landing Page” icon. Click “Manage Pages” icon to review your landing page list. Step 4 – The “Email List”

The email list is the names/email accounts you plan to send a video email campaign.

1st Action – Add a List Name

Click the “Add List” icon and give your list a name.

Field Management: If you wish to enable PERSONALIZATION within your video add, please turn “ON” the fields relevant to your list. Most people store the first name of a customer in “Field 1″ on an excel, CSV or database file. When you upload/import the email names/details into your new list, the VEMP platform will generate a code to personalize the opening and ending of your video ad message.

Click “Save Email Account Changes”

2nd Action – Complete your Email List so its campaign ready

Select and click on the campaign name you have created, this should be visible by clicking the “Email Lists” icon. Now you can import a list of names (subscribers) to the email list name you have selected. You can manually add names, upload a CSV file, upload a text file or copy an existing list you may have already created on videocustomizer. Click on the upload option you wish to proceed with. You can review, edit, add, delete names from the any email list by clicking the “Subscribers” icon.

Follow the instructions to upload, once completed your email list is ready to use in a video email campaign.

Step 5 – The “Email Account”

The Email Account list is the names/email accounts and domain name authorized to send out video email campaigns.

1st Action – Add Email Account

Click the “Email Accounts” icon. Now click the “Add Account” icon. You will be required to complete the “User Name” section – email holders name and email address, the “Server Information and Server Login ” if you are using your own mail servers. Remember, only add email accounts which have a relationship to the subscribers/email list and is spam compliant. DO NOT add an email account which has not been used to send email communication to a list.

Click “Save Email Account”

2nd Action – Verify the Email Account so its campaign ready

All email accounts which will be used to send out video email campaigns must be verified. Please wait for a verification email from us and follow the instructions.Once verified, the email account is now ready to send out video email campaigns.
